In good condition. Nicely rebacked, with original title label affixed to new spine. Light rubbing and wear to boards, primarily along edges and corners. New end pages affixed to front and rear. Hinges reinforced and text block remains bound well. Includes four foldout engravings at rear, with light loss to bottom of the third foldout. Staining remnants to rear of text block, including along perimeter of foldouts. Light markings and marginalia to text block, primarily at front. A scarce piece on the work of German surgeon August Gottlieb Richter (1742-1812), with foldouts of medical instruments at rear. Inscribed on title page by A.L. Huebener, who assisted Bethlehem botanist Christian Jacob Wolle (1788-1863) in collecting botanical specimens from Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
