Maker: This set of 4 charmingly naïve handmade and hand painted ceramic plates was made in Italy. 

One plate has the initials MF, probably the artist's signature.

Design: Each scalloped plate features a different design of bold pink flowers, baskets and birds. 

Size: The plates are 10 inches wide and together weigh 4 pounds 7 ounces.

Condition: They have no nicks, chips, cracks, discoloration, repairs or significant wear. All have faint utensil marks that can be seen in bright light and one has a light stain on the back. Two have light crazing and the other two have more prominent crazing. One has a small manufacturing flaw on the edge that looks like a crack but is not - it's shown in the photos with the red arrows.

All 4 have the small pinpricks and irregularities that are typical of handmade Italian ceramics and part of their charm.
