This rare red vinyl of Mike Nesmith's The First National Band's "Loose Salute" is a must-have for any music collector. Of course, Mike is best known for his 1960s stint as a member of The Monkees.

The record and autograph were obtained by me in person at Steel City Con near Pittsburgh in 2018. This was Mike’s first public appearance after a heart attack he suffered when on the road during a tour with Micky Dolenz. It was a pleasure meeting Mike who shared with me a hysterical story about his attempts to purchase the original Monkeemobile!

The record is unplayed and looks sharp (see pics). Please note there is a black-colored-swirl amid all of the red. That seems to be a pressing issue. I’m hopeful it plays well but since I never attempted to play it, I can’t guarantee that. I can guarantee that it is beautiful and signed by Mike.

This is a reissue of an album that came out in November 1970 and I saved the plastic it was sealed in that I removed to get his autograph (See final pic).

This is a unique addition to any collection of original rock and pop music memorabilia and is perfect for fans of The Monkees and Nesmith's solo work. Sadly, Mike passed in 2021 shortly after a final tour with Micky, making this a rare collectible.

Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind piece of music history.
