This auction is for an adorable artist German bisque head baby doll replica. Hand written Tag that was included with doll says Little Grump Mark 1924 Germany. Doll has bisque head on composition type body. Brown stationary eyes with painted closed lips. Back of head shows 1979 TM REJA 1924 Germany. Doll does have scuffing on body but other than that seems to be in good used condition.

The Manufacturer of Little Grump is not known, although the mark tells us she is of German origin. This lack of history has had little effect on the value of this doll. Her distinctive appearance has made her much sought after by collectors.
The reproduction of Little Grump, created by REJA dolls, consists of a bisque head, imported blown glass eyes, appropriately styled wig, all composition body and period costume. The dolls finished size is about 14 inchest. The head is created from a mold of an original antique doll, and thus reproduces all the original marks. In addition, the head is incised REJA dolls, with the date of manufacture. The original doll is valued at about $800.00.
