You know you want this. The Niner SIR 9 (current 2023/2024 model) is a truly unique bike, and you'd be hard pressed to get more fun+utility for the price. Reynolds 853 steel frame with all sorts of bosses and a geometry that's equally capable for climbing and descending.

So, why am I selling it? Simply because it doesn't fit me. I bought this as a full build online, going by Niner's frame size/height chart and my past experience riding a large Surly Karate Monkey. But, I just couldn't make it fit. So, I bought an XL frame and swapped the parts over. It's an amazing bike; absolutely love it. This frame only has about 60 miles on it, as I was trying out different stems and such trying to get the fit right. Save for some scratches on the inside of the chainstays behind the bottom bracket and a small chip in the paint on the seat stay (see pics), it's in like-new condition.

Are you concerned that steel is heavy? Don't be...the "2 star" build on this bike (https://www.ninerbikes.com/products/sir-9/) is lighter than a couple of Santa Cruz's aluminum hardtails (and many carbon full-sus bikes). This Reynolds 853 stuff is legit. Amazing ride quality, super tough (you can load a rear rack with up to 55lbs of gear), and light - especially if you spec it out with high-end parts. Compatible with both 27.5 or 29 wheels.

Reynolds 853 is an amazing material, and I honestly feel for all the cyclists out there who have not had the pleasure of riding a high quality, steel frame bike. If you are afraid of steel because you fear its weight, I'm sorry/not sorry to inform you that you've been duped by years of millions of dollars of bike industry marketing that has brainwashed people into thinking that only carbon fiber, titanium, and aluminum are viable materials for modern mountain bikes. I have ridden all of these; they all have their benefits, their value, and their place. And, turns out, so does steel. It is truly a unique ride quality and you can do all sorts of things with this that you can't do with carbon fiber or aluminum. This frame weighs around 4.8 lbs.
• Can I ride this bike over rocks, even though it's not a full-suspension frame? Oh my yes. It is hella fun riding over rocks and other things that happen to be on the surface of the Earth (dirt, roots, bumps, gravel, baby rabbits, etc.).
• What size rims/wheelz/tires can I use with this frame? The frame is compatible with up to 29" x 2.4" and 27.5" x 3.0" wheels/tires.
• How many dates will I get for riding this bike? At least 3.
