From the Larry D. Gibson Collection formally on display in Morgantown and some WVU events.

This rare 1950 vintage sports trading card (bread label) is a must-have for Fred Schaus fans West Virginia fans and vintage NBA collectors. The SGC authenticated card features Fred Schaus, a historic NBA player who played for Zollner Pistons as a rookie the year before. This card is in overall good condition and is part of the 1950 Bread for Health set.  This is his earliest card even before the 1952 Royal Deserts box back card.

This rare 1950 Bread for Health trading card featuring FRED SCHAUS, a rookie from West Virginia is a real find.  He played for the Zollner/Ft Wayne Pistons at the time.  It is a vintage sports trading card from the National Basketball Association (NBA) season of 1950. .  Schaus later played for the New York Knicks and coached the Lakers when they drafted Jerry West.  Graded authentic, there are slight creases on the edges that are hard to see and do not go thru to the blank back.  The case also has 3 vertical cracks on the back that do not affect the label.    It also features the Zollner Pistons team. This is a great addition to any basketball card collector's set, especially because of its rookie status.
