What a beautiful tree, especially if you're into small, elegant, shohin size maples.  This one is just lovely.

Limited inventory this year due to winter/cold damage.  I will sell trees that are healthy and thriving
I do my best to describe them as they grow in my climate. While I do my best to describe my trees accurately, I do ask that you refer to the photos and ask any questions before bidding. Photos are part of the description.

Habit: Ok people, these are NOT houseplants.  These trees require a period of dormancy amounting to about 6 weeks of below 45F.  If you cannot provide these conditions, please don't bid/buy.  They WILL die. Also realize that specifically for Japanese maples, they do not like hot climates and detest alkaline/hard water.

Size: Per the photos, this tree is approximately 10" tall, with additional new growth extending further. The trunk base is approximately 1.5" around the base.

Potting: This tree is currently potted in a plastic training pot in the bonsai-friendly light soil mix, which I use for my climate. Note that you will need to adapt the soil to your particular climatic variances.

Training: I consider these trees to be pre-bonsai, which are just beginning their journey through life. I have done the basics of repeatedly trimming, shaping and training this tree and will leave the future development to the new owner.

Transplantation: Please be aware that these are living plants with very specific requirements. I do not recommend these for novices. Stress can occur on trees and plants shipped while in full leaf, and to climates different from where they originate. Please make note of how your climate may be different from mine in the Pacific Northwest. While all my trees are very healthy, due to the above, they are sold in 'as received' condition. All trees will be packed to provide optimum shipping conditions for them. Please preview shipping cost, which is calculated by FedEx. Sorry, no returns are accepted.

Happy bidding!
