Notes: You are bidding on a rare Seiko SBQJ005 8F56-002A Largest Model Black Dial GMT Perpetual Calendar High Accuracy Quartz Watch. Based on the caseback serial, this one dates to June 1999. The watch features a Cal. 8F56 perpetual calendar quartz movement accurate to 20 seconds per year. For setting instructions you can check the Youtube video on how to reset it, but any watchmaker can properly change the battery when it indicates it is running low by skipping seconds to avoid the reset; the perpetual calender needs no setting other than daylight savings. This watch is in very good condition; few scratches on the bidirectional 24h click-rotate bezel due to storage; case, screwdown caseback and bracelet has some light wear. Mineral crystal with bullet date magnifier in pristine shape. The gloss black dial is in good shap; lume on the hands and 6/12 o'clock hour marks still strong. Screwdown crown is in very good shape and secures well; the ease to degrade decoratative red O-ring was replaced. Date change occurs properly in mid-crown position by changing the hour hand; this moves a cool ultrasonic motor that drives the date wheel. GMT marker rotates properly with crown fully pulled out. My watchmaker just changed the battery last month; he noted there was a bit of staining on the movement but no rusting; all functions set and the watch is keeping good time; however, give age and condition, watch will be Sold AS IS, No Returns. The original 21/9mm custom lug original signed button clasp bracelet fits my 7.5 inch; the are no extra links; if you like you watches loose this would be safe under 7.25 inches. Water resistance is 100m but the watch has not been pressure tested. Movement is clean, the battery is about a year old and should last 8-10 years.
