A Stanley No 60 low angle block plane. This is essentially identical to the 60 1/2 except for the lever cap is nickel plated as opposed to japanned. At least one source online notes they have a larger mouth opening than the 60 1/2 model which may be the case (see pictures). They are far less common than the 60 1/2.


This one is fully intact and complete with a Sweetheart stamped cutter. Most of the japanning is present. The style of the depth adjusting wheel indicates this could be an earlier model, although they weren't produced after 1950 if I recall correctly, so either way it is old!
