The 10th Show ! from the Monumental !! Grateful Dead " Europe '72 " Tour !!! - ' Live ' from Musikhalle ! in Hamburg, West Germany !! - featuring " German Shepherd Dog ! - with Headphones !! " Cover Art !!!

Grateful Dead Fans who Love & even Live-for ! that Good Ol' Grateful Dead Sound ! ... and at its Finest !!  Offered here is the ' 10th Show ' from the Grateful Dead " Europe '72 " Tour ! ... April 29, 1972 ( 4/29/72 ) at the " Musikhalle ! " in Hamburg, West Germany !!  And as you might well expect - considering the Magnificent ! Time & Era of Grateful Dead Music we are talking about here ... the Band continues to truly " Strike-Lightning ! " during the middle-leg of this Monumental-Tour !  Seven ( 7 ) Shows were played at the Academy of Music in New York City in Late-March ( 3/21-28/72 ) - and if you have heard pieces, parts or all of that magnificent run - then you already know how " effective " that NYC run was as the ideal " Tour Warm-Up " for this Big-Time Europe '72 stretch that was right around the corner.  " Europe '72 !!! " kicked-off at the Wembley Empire Pool ( London ) on 4/7/72 & 4/8/72 - as part of a two-night stand.  And right after that, the Band performed at the " City Hall " at Newcastle upon Tyne, England - then to Copenhagen, Aarhus ( Denmark ) - then ' back ' to Copenhagen - to Bremen ( Germany ) - to Dusseldorf ( W. Germany ) - to Frankfurt ( W. Germany ) - and then right-here ! at the ... " Musikhalle ! " - in Hamburg, West Germany !!!  3-CD's of Europe '72 Grateful Dead Bliss !!! here on this Hamburg stop - as you can check-out this entire Setlist provided below!  And after this Fantastic ! night of '72 Live-Dead in Hamburg - at the Musikhalle ! ... it was 12 More Shows ( 22 in Total ) stretching from Paris - to the Bickershaw Festival ( Wigan, England ) - to Amsterdam - to Rotterdam - to France - to Luxembourg - to Munich - and then ' back ' to London for a final 4-night stand at the Lyceum !  Europe '72 !!! a Beyond-Monumental ! Dead Tour indeed - and one of the Most-Important " Ever ! " in Grateful Dead History.  And as for this Musikhalle ! night ?  One of the Finest ! of this Tour !! - at least to my Dead Fan ears.  The Show was ' Opened ' with a jumpy Playing In The Band ! - which got exploratory fast ... real-fast - clearly a sign that the Band sure was " On ! " - and this would be a very-special night of Grateful Dead.  The Black Throated Wind is played with noteworthy power - immediately followed by one of the Freight-Train ! like China > Riders !! of this Tour !  Garcia's leads are Tremendous ! ... ' Boundary-Pushing ' - Exploratory, and Hot !  He's not done yet in this Set though - as the Loser ! is tightly-played.  Pigpen gets in good too with a " gruff " rough & ready version of Big Boss Man !  As for CD 2 ! ... the Big Railroad - Greatest Story & He's Gone are all Fabulous ! versions - but the Casey Jones ! just bursts most overall with ' collective ' G.D. Live-Energy !  However, it is Pigpen + the Band that steals this Disc ... with a 16:27 Rocker of a rendition - of Good Lovin' !!!  The Band gives him both the timekeeping & the space - and my oh my ... does he run with this-one !  And CD 3 ?!?  Well Dead Fans ... this G.D. ' outro ' from Tour Night # 10 - is nothing-short of Legendary !  Written words, as we know - can never really do the talkin' - as only the Music ! truly can.  But here's how this Magnificent-Beauty ! of a back-set reads ( on paper, at least ) - Wow ... >>> Dark Star > Sugar Magnolia > Caution ( Do Not Stop On Tracks ) - One More Saturday Night & Uncle John's Band.  Some Mesmerizing ! G.D. action here Fans.  To me personally ?  This is without question one of the Hot(ter!) nights of this whole Europe '72 Tour - and I'd like to think that the Band might really agree too.  And as for the Cover ( can't forget that ! ) ... How About It ?  Not just a Pooch ! ... but a " German Shepherd Dog !! " - Rockin' some High-Fidelity Headphones !!!  I think we can all pretty much agree just-exactly what this Pup is listening to - Ha !!  Europe '72 ! - 4/29/72 !! - " Musikhalle ! " - in Hamburg, West Germany !!! ... Enjoy !!!!!
