Market Research Final Report (August 1990)

Kenner was considering reintroducing Stretch Armstrong in 1992. 

From my personal Kenner mementos.  

As a former Kenner employee myself (1982-92), this item is from my personal collection of mementos stored away from my 33-year career in the toy industry.  

BACKGROUND and OBJECTIVES:  Marketing was considering the reintroduction of Stretch Armstrong, a flexible, stretchable 13" figure sold by Kenner in the late 70's.  Three (PROTOTYPE) versions were available for testing: the original body builder Stretch Armstrong, plus Hulk Hogan and Arnold Schwarzeneggar.  

This is a set of 3 internal Kenner market research documents (23 total pages):

- Final Report:  Stretch Armstrong Viability Test (11 pages, dated August 23, 1990)

- Video/Product Demonstration Scripts for Stretch Armstrong, Wrestling Buddies, G.I. Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Batman (5 pages)

NOTE:  No products or photos are included (I do not have them). 

The original typewritten master was on Kenner Products letterhead when we were A Tonka Division.  Copies were then sent to ONLY the 26 people in the DISTRIBUTION LIST.  (NOTE: Scans of pages are shown, with names masked for privacy in this listing.  A large "K" was added as a watermark in the listing photos.)  Only the winning bidder can enjoy all the details of the documents. 

PLEASE NOTE: My research reports should be considered "one-of-a-kind original" documents. Company masters were destroyed years ago.  Knowing everyone in the Distribution List, I am confident that no one else retained their copy.  These are my only ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS of this report. 

I did not author this report, but my name appears in the distribution list. 

They were neatly stored away in a file folder all these years.  As such, they are in USED, but VERY GOOD - EXCELLENT CONDITION.
