Description
Up for sale is a magnificent plate dated circa Qing Dynasty. It is hand painted in famille rose style with five figures. The figures were painted in vivid details and finely gilt on the head gear. They were separated by auspicious decorations and calligraphy. The plate is richly gilt all over with the gilt rim further accenting the piece. Overall, an exquisitely detailed piece!
It measures approximately 7 7/8 inch (or 20cm) in diameter. It is in overall good condition except for small rim flakes/chips and 2 very short old tight crazes from the rim (crazes are indicated by the purple arrows in our pictures). Feel free to request more detailed pictures if necessary PRIOR TO bidding. Normal enamel and gilt wear due to its old age. It is dated circa Qing Dynasty. A must for Chinese porcelain collector!
