• Handmade copper tree sculpture - Winter on marble

As a horticulturist by trade, every winter of my career has allowed me the unique opportunity to spend time doing other types of work in the months prior to the gardening season. While most of my art would be best categorized under sculpture, I have explored many different art mediums and switch between them freely as it suits my objectives.

In my art I enjoy showcasing magnetism, miniature realism, and presenting natural design in an eye-catching form. Working with plants gives me an insight into the subtle beauty of a tree’s branch structure, which I illustrate in my wire trees. Im pleased to say that my trees were once included and sold in a well-known art gallery in Sitka Alaska.
