Classic Piaggio Typhoon scooter with genuine 178 miles! (May go up slightly)

I am the second owner of this Piaggio Typhoon.
The first owner won it in a competition but never I used it.
It had been in dry storage since 1997.
They don’t make them like this anymore. The original Piaggio Typhoon was a described as technologically advanced light weight sports scooter, combining Italian style with Showa front shocks and Brembo front brake calliper with stainless braided line.
This is quick for a 50cc scooter
It’s light weight at around 88kg but still a big scooter which will comfortably accommodate riders over 6ft.
The more powerful 2 stroke engine (without the modern restrictions) it will go up steeper hills at speed, even with a heavier rider.

Since acquiring the scooter I have done the following jobs to revive it from its extended storage.
New Dellorto PHVA 17.5 (OEM Piaggio) carburettor
New battery
Fuel tank cleaned out, new fuel and vacuum lines, new fuel petcock, new inlet manifold.
Brake fluid replaced
Drive oil replaced
New spark plug
New Piaggio oil pump
New Air filter
This scooter was originally a competition prize to promote Disneys 101 Dalmatian’s film. It came with a professional custom Dalmatian paint scheme. I wasn’t keen on it so sourced brand new panels from Italy for the front clam in metallic red and rear side sections in silver, I also replaced the handlebar cover.
The original panels are included.
The original seat bucket had some damage where the seat hinge attaches so I sourced and fitted a replacement used part in excellent condition. One of the mirrors was a bit loose and moved when riding so this was also replaced.
Someone will get a great deal here, I have spent a lot more than the asking price on this scooter.
Fantastic condition with very low mileage, never driven in the wet, I don’t think you will find a better one of these.
Rust free scooter, frame (wax oiled), original exhaust in perfect condition.
Comes with 3 keys , just had a new MOT passed with no advisories. It was done on the 10th May
Only run on Agip 2t synthetic oil.
Starts straight away on the button every time.
Selling as I found a classic Vespa ET2 with similarly really low mileage, I don’t need both and decided to keep the Vespa.
Easy and simple to maintain with great mechanical parts availability both OEM and aftermarket.
If you passed your driving test before 2001 you can drive this without ‘L’ plates, no motorbike test required.
V5 in my name, I am the 2nd registered keeper after the lady that won it in the competition. All old MOT’s and clear HPI report from when I bought it.
