A large, double paged, indentured property agreement relating to a mortgage for a plot of land, and 20 messuages or dwellinghouses thereon situated in Larch Street, Cheetham, Manchester, in the county of Lancaster.

The agreement is dated 22 March 1873, and is between Frederick Homer of Mawson Street, Ardwick, in the county of Lancaster, builder of the one part, and Robert James of Oak Street, Manchester, in the county of Lancaster, tobacconist of the other part.

The consideration for the agreement is £1440. The land is referred to as being situated in Cheetham in Manchester, in the county of Lancaster, bounded on the northern side thereof by and including 1/ half in width of a passage 5 feet wide to be forever, thereafter left open and unbuilt upon, on the easterly side, by and including one half in width of a passage 4 feet wide, to be forever thereafter left open and unbuilt upon, on the southerly side thereof and including 1/2 in width of the whole length of Larch Street, 10 yards wide, and on the Westerly side thereof by land and containing on the said northerly side, 122 yards and 9 inches, on the said easterly side 22 yards and 24 inches, on the southerly side 104 yards and 20 inches and on the Westerley side, 22 yards and 27 inches.

The front page of the document contains the signature of Frederick Horner.

The second page contains a blind blue duty stamp for 10 shillings.

The document Appears to be on vellum, and appears to be in very good condition for its age with obvious fold lines, and minimal browning. No tears. Please see photos.
