We recently acquired a number of vintage Volvos from a private collection.
Volvo PV444 & PV544
NOS KONI Adjustable Rear Shocks!
In the trunk of a 1967 Volvo 123GT we found a lot of goodies, among them this new-in-the-box set of adjustable KONI red rear shocks.
We initially thought these shocks would fit the 123GT and most likely its sibbling, the 122 Amazon, but that turned out not the be the case.
Part number is 80A-1161, and it took us a long time to match it to a proper application as the Koni Web site was of no help. Luckily, German supplier Bastuck lists part # 80-1161 as rear shocks for Volvo PV444 and PV544, and the "A" simply indicates that these are of the adjustable type, best of the best, and unobtainium now.
As mentioned before, these shocks are New Old Stock, an unused complete set in the original box.
The hardware is still sealed in the original plastic bag and the owner's manual is included as well.
I drove a 1962 PV544 for over a decade as a semi-daily driver, and if memory serves me, these shocks cost close to $400 back then.
Offering these to the true vintage Volvo enthusiast, looking for the best shocks money can buy, at a highly reduced price.
