Retro classic desktop PC from 90'. Nice gaming machine.
Nice minitower case, abolute retro, one on the nicest for 486.
Before you buy, be sure that you understand MS-DOS and some old computer issues and know how to handle with old computer. Sometimes, it may happen some problems with running of old computer, but it doesn't mean that it is broken. All my computers are working before shipping and tested and some issues are mentioned here, I am maximally transparent with it.
Unit powers up and works, tested with running of some programs, computer seems to be stable for several hours.
Good visual condition. Plastic parts are with scratches, metal case with scratches.
Power source is cleaned from the dust and visually checked - capacitators look like good.
- Unis has been cleaned!!
- HDD tested and FDD tested - reads and formats disketten.
- CD-ROM tested - reads and copy - only BTC drive works and reads only CD, not CD-RW
- Sound card tested with Unisound driver - works. New plastic bracket from 3D printer, not so nice but holds the card.
- Metal case has scratches.
- Plastic front panel - one corner is inside welded.
- LED speed display shows only 33 MHz.
Computer is collected from different parts, it is not original configuration.
Issues:
- PC has a typical smell from moisture, quite lot - I tried to clean everything, probably the most smelly is power source and computer cables.
- Turbo switch and reset switch - are not working. And turbo switch is the same sort like a reset - only one click through, not two state button.
- VGA card - picture is flickering - tested only on LCD - some capacitor may be bad or other part?
- CD-ROM Techmedia - does not read CD
- cache chips - definitelly it is FAKE. Many PCChips motherboards with soldered cache modules were known for their fake caches. And their BIOS is edited to show fake cache too.
Unit is sold as is, without peripherals.
