DRH desk fan, 30s - 40s, serviced, excellent working condition

A great piece of engineering. The main motor housing, and stand are aluminium which is quite rare for products of this era. Unfortunately i haven't managed to discover a great deal about the manufacturer, or this particular model. GM had an electronics sub division in the UK in the 40s making car radios, so it could be from them.

With an art deco flare, and the remains of its original pale green paint it makes for an attractive well proportioned item.

I've stripped to the component level, oiled, cleaned, balanced the blades, checked over and rewired.

It is smooth and quite quiet in operation which can be seen in the video,  and has a mellow gentle cooling affect perfect for its intended use on a desk.

I've gone over the main components with a light coat of crystalline wax to stabilise the paint and preserve its current condition.

This is a non oscillating single speed. It is earthed but has not been pat tested.

Please study the pictures as they form part of the description.

Any questions please feel free.

Many thanks
