Offered for sale is this Bank of Scotland £1 note dated 3rd October 1978. It is signed by Governor Lord Clydesmuir  and Treasurer and General Manager A.M. Russell

I have graded this note as Fine against the definition below

The note is creased and shows some evidence of vertical . There are no tears or holes present. Overall the note is still a presentable note and the paper is still crisp

Please check the photos and description below before bidding

The note will be all packed in a plastic pocket in a card backed envelope

I use the condition definitions specified in the 'Banknote Yearbook'

FINE: a note that shows considerable circulation, with many folds, creases and wrinkling. Paper is not excessively dirty but may have some softness. edges may show much handling with minor tears in the border area. Tears may not extend into the design. There will be no centre hole because of excessive folding. Colours are clear but not very bright. A staple hole or two would not be considered unusual wear in a Fine note. Overall appearance is still on the desirable side.
