Description:
Offered for auction is an iconic JJ (Jonette Jewelry 1938-2006) piece.  It is a pewter chalkboard on which math formulas are written. The chalkboard has such detail that you can see the chalk and eraser.  Dangling from the chalkboard like a charm brooch or like a chatelaine are 5 dangling items, all related to school math.  These include a calculator, ruler, math book, pencil, and an apple.  Check out the detail.  What a wonderfully whimsical piece that is so characteristic of JJ.  It would make a great gift for a teacher, a fun piece to wear, and an excellent addition to a collection.

Size & Condition:
The chalkboard portion of the brooch  is 1.75 x 1.25 inches.  Including the dangles it is 2.5 inches long.

The brooch is in excellent preowned vintage condition showing only age-appropriate signs of wear and use. Few if any scratches on the front. No missing dangles. The shaft is a little bent from wear but is usable and the clasp and safety catch are in good working order. See pictures.

Markings:
The chalkboard has an oval cartouche stamped  © JJ (italicized with no periods and no crossbars above the Js), a mark used in 1970.  Each dangle also has an oval cartouche is stamped in the same way, with the exception of the narrow pencil which does not have a mark, probably because it is too narrow to contain it.

The pictures are part of the description, so please examine them carefully for your best determination of quality and condition.
