This deck powers up and lights work but it needs belts. Had it diagnosed at Audio Specialties in Portland OR and didn't want to spend the money on this particular deck. Great for a DIY project. all lights work as do all switches and tape counter. Has real wood base that is amazing condition. Only real marks on the deck are underneath.

This is the first stereo cassette deck in Japan equipped with Dolby noise reduction.

This TEAC A-350 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was first sold by TEAC in 1971 with a manufacturer suggested retail price of USD $330 and discontinued 2 years later in 1973.

The main features of the TEAC A-350 are: 2 heads, mechanical 3 digit tape counter, manual tape type selection and capable of handling normal and chrome tapes with additional manual equalization selection, belt driven single-capstan transport.

Typical of this deck is the 70's top loading layout with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.
