This listing is for the two Hank Snow Singing Ranger Bear Family boxes (Vol 1 and 2) that cover his career from his arrival in Nashville in 1948 through his peak years to 1958.  Both Volume 1 and 2 have 4 CDs. These items are in NM condition, with intact and unscuffed cardboard boxes. Each box has a full color LP-sized booklet with essays by Charles Wolfe.  Included are his biggest hits as a singles artist and his early LPs, including is instrumental album with Chet Atkins. These boxes are worthy of a collector's shelf, and provide a large amount of wonderful music.

I am adding to other items to this auction:

1). The Bear Family box from Hank Snow, The Yodeling Ranger, which covers period prior to the Singing Ranger boxes. During the years 1937-1947 was a Canadian C&W artist, and he actually yodeled.  Included here are 5 CDs (4 are filled with music, and one of is a narration of his life story) and an LP-sized booklet that is bigger and better than the booklets for the later Bear Family Hank Snow boxes.  This booklet has an extensive history by Charles Wolfe of Snow as a struggling radio artist working the Canadian show circuit. It details how horsemanship was an important part of his brand in those years. Really great booklet, 45 pages and plenty of pictures. The outer cardboard box is scuffed with whitened corners. The CDs are slightly scratched and scuffy, but they played for me. Due to the condition of this box, I am listing it as an add-on to the two Singing Ranger Bear Family boxes.

2) Ernest Tubb's 8-CD box set "Walking the Floor Over You" from Bear Family is also included.  There is no LP-sized cardboard box, no LP-sized booklet, just the CDs in their jewel boxes as pictured. These CD were well played before I got them, and some have marks and scuffs.  I can guarantee that at least 7 of them play all the way through, maybe all 8.  There is some yellowing on jewel cases (or maybe it is yellow) and the boxes are scuffed.  Bear Family says "This stands with our Jimmie Rodgers box and Hank Williams' recordings as one of the most essential collections in country music. These 8 CDs contain all of Ernest Tubb's recordings from 1936 to 1947. Starting as the prot Jimmie Rodgers ' widow, Ernest Tubb went on define one of the most original and imitated styles in all country music. All the great original hits are here in their original versions, Walking The Floor Over You, Blue Eyed Elaine, Tomorrow Never Comes, Soldier's Last Letter, Our Baby's Book, It's Been So Long Darling, Rainbow At Midnight, and many more. The World transcriptions from 1944 and 1945, never reissued to this point, are also included complete. Honky tonk music starts here!"

The two Singing Ranger boxes are the main auction item, for collectors and listeners, and the Tubb and the early Snow collections are offered because I think the buyer will enjoy them (personally, they are 2 of my favorite Bear Family collections, ever).
