David Gans sent Fantastic ! segments from this Monumental ! 6/28/74 Boston Garden
Show through the " Dead Head Hour " national airwaves to the
immediate-delight of the Deadheads !! And soon thereafter, analog tapes
almost everywhere had handmade FM copies, fillers, etc. of this Grate !
Show. An immaculate performance, with incredibly played song material,
from a Deadhead hot-spot ( The Northeast ! ), from the Fantastic & Amazing ! G.D. Year of 1974 !! So the ' Race Was On ', for tapers Everywhere ! to
get a hold of this entire Show in the best quality possible - just to make sure
that there weren't any important notes out there that we were perhaps
missed ! You can run from Dead Taping Maniacs, but you just can't
hide !! Hey Kidd, this was a masterful recording job here -- so where's
the rest of this run ? We want it & need it. Great
Stuff !!! Yeah, Summer Tour '74 was something very-special ( just
Pre-Hiatus, too ! - Wow ... ) & The Good Ol' Wall of Sound ! was sure something
else - that's for certain. So talkin' about channeling the goods through
those heralded Alembic speaker-cones, here is just a little taste of where this

Magnolia ! When this was 1st released back in 1998, I about jumped up for
joy ! ... & almost started Dancin' - well, actually ... Ha ! A genuine &
authentic two-track stereo remaster straight from the reels !!! Does it get
really any better than this, I distinctly remember thinking. Well, indeed
it did - with only Twelve ( 12 ) " Dick's Picks " down & Twenty-Tour
( 24 ) more to go after it ! Thank You Grateful Dead for choosing to un-cork
all these precious & excellently-preserved preserved gems ! Shewww ..... we were so glad this
longtime dream was answered, and it only took 8 years ! Pretty fast in the
' Deadheadland ' time-table. This one is a indeed a MUST !! have for all of
the obvious reasons which are rightfully included & very-well answered on
these 3-CD's ... in all of that '74 Dead Musical Glory ! - you might just
Expect ! Worth it's wait in Gold, or at least ' Dead-Tapes ' to be perfectly accurate ... Enjoy !!!!!
