Wow, this is a beautiful piece of history. Circa mid 1800s, this came from the estate of a family from Milwaukee, WI.  Incredibly well made and detailed.

Does have authentic wear from age/use.  Leather has darkened, there are smudges.  Most notably, the lower right hand corner of the front cover has a hole.  Otherwise, this piece is in just wonderful condition with soft, supple leather.

Was most likely used for a journal or music book.
