Lifetime Television celebrated its 20th anniversary as the leading cable network for women by paying tribute to women supporting women with the special event "TV's Greatest Sidekicks," a one-hour retrospective that brought together some of TV's favorite personalities. The show was hosted by Laverne & Shirley's" Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams.
Guest stars were Bea Arthur (Maude, The Golden Girls), Georgia Engel (The Mary Tyler Moore Show), Marla Gibbs (227), Valerie Harper (The May Tyler Moore Show, Jackee Harry (227), Rue McClanahan (Maude, The Golden Girls) and Betty White (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls). Other guest stars included Fran Drescher (The Nanny), Judith Light (Who's the Boss) and more.
