This listing is for an original Vietnam War M1 helmet with lieutenant’s insignia. The helmet shell is a 1950s McCord. The cover is dated with a contract number which is very early. There is a lieutenant’s bar sewn on the front of the cover and follow me bars sewn onto the reverse. The liner is not correct for this helmet as its the much later style and is dated 1973.
