'Theotokos' is an original oil pastel picture of the Virgin mary in a contemporary style with bold colours and comes on canvas board. This original oil pastel painting makes a nice devotional gift as well as being small enough to frame and place in any setting in the home. My oil pastel technique uses canvas board for texture and scratch marks for the highlights that give a rustic feel. All my oil pastel paintings have been protected with a layer of fixative but oil pastel can still smudge so I would recommend framing without glass or using spacers to keep the glass away from the surface.
