KONICA (1) 1948 35mm film Camera 50mm f/3.5 Hexar Imperfect Condition

SERIAL: 21965 on top plate. 950551 inside camera

First 35mm Konica made: Konica (1). Dates to 1948/9 with Hexar f/3.5 and ‘Made in Occupied Japan’ embossed on baseplate Near excellent cosmetic condition. Imperfect mechanical condition Wind on is fine Lens extends and locks into position Helical thread on rear of lens is not correctly installed, it can lock up the focusing (which is smooth) and doesn’t seem to be able to be secured in position Rangefinder image does not move (as a consequence) You can cock the shutter but it fires as soon as you take your hand off the cocking lever Effectively, the shutter needs servicing and the fitting of the lens in the helical thread needs sorting Lens looks clean and clear Body in good condition, covering is breaking up in parts (as shown)
