Offered here is this original, vintage, 2 7/8" long advertising key fob and attached skeleton room key from the Vanderbilt Hotel on east 34th Street and Park Avenue, New York City Vanderbilt Hotel was built by Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, (1877-1915) son of Cornelius Vanderbilt II and the great-grandson of the Commodore.  The hotel opened in 1912, and was converted in 1967 to 364 apartments on the upper floors and offices on the lower six floors.  The building received a new facade in 2002. The plated iron key and metal tag are in low excellent condition, though the key and the spring ring do have some minor rust.  Scarce, early NYC item!
