Very reluctant sale of my stunning and highly individual seven-style Robin Hood 2B Kit Car with an unique custom built removable Hard Top.

I have owned, improved and enjoyed 'ROH' for a little over eighteen months, but sadly personal circumstances have changed and this remarkable wee rocket is now looking for a new (and good) home.

The car is as close to perfect as possible and will take you anywhere... with a smile on your face and a roar in your ears!

I've previously owned a number of kit cars, but was looking for more of a 'Grand Tourer' style which would provide some comfort and better weather protection for longer (and oft times wet in Scotland) journeys. Having looked and pondered over many options I was amazed to find this kit car with a removable hardtop... the best of both worlds!

I bought 'ROH' from the original owner/builder a qualified and skilled engineer who had spent over 20 years creating this magnificently contrived and crafted machine. It's all correctly tested and registered on an age related plate, and with 'Robin Hood 2B' on the V5. The car has a remarkable MoT history and currently has 4 months to run before renewal. If the advertised price is paid, then I will put another full 12 months MoT on the car.

There's just 8000 genuine miles on the clock. Never raced or abused, and always garage stored. It's in immaculate condition throughout, and always draws a lot of attention and compliments. Meticulously detailed with many unique and custom features - There's really very little you could describe as "standard", and I think it's reasonable to describe it was one of the most unique and immaculately presented examples built.
During my ownership over the past 12 months, I prepared the car for long-term ownership and more frequent use. Much has been done including...

- 2 rolling road tuning sessions at AG Motorsport in Kilmarnock
- complete new ignition system (coil, plugs, 12mm custom-made leads)
- new (2023) 6" custom stainless exhaust with '7 - style' heat shield
- high-output alternator
- geared hi-torque starter motor
- cam shaft sensor
- high 'CCA' battery
- new Hella Headlight sealed beam units with upgraded bulbs
- new Hella mini led driving lamp bar fitted behind front grille and wired to main beam
- new 'DAX' front cycle wings (stiffened then bonded and bolted)
- additional thermal management added to engine bay over and above the exhaust wrap
- new master cylinder & Castrol Race Spec High Temp brake fluid
- trickle air vent on rear window
- tinted sun visors
- courtesy light
- new set of Uniroyal Rainsport 5 tyres (I love these!)
- new steel spare wheel & tyre
- rear mudflaps
- adjustable door stays
- PIAA 'Oto Style' twin horns (from the 'Us of A')
- new Bosch 'wide band' Lambda sensor
In addition to the above, the car has been serviced and meticulously maintained. Today (1st. June) the car has had a complete 'lube service'... back diff, gearbox and engine oil (Valvolene VR1 Racing) and a Ford Motorcraft filter.

Summary...

So, what not to like?
Here you have a superbly engineered, quick and agile Lotus '7' type sports car that's a convertible for top-off motoring but has an entirely weatherproof comfy & spacious cabin, cosy heater and a good-size boot for making the Grand Tours.
If you want, buy a full or half soft-top hood and you'll have all options covered. The lockable doors on the hard top give good security for cabin contents when touring.
The reliable, bullet-proof tuned Ford Pinto engine is just another reason why this package is so attractive and a 12 gallon fuel tank is wonderful for peace of mind between 'pit stops'.

Of course. there's a ton of paperwork and information available, two sets of keys and some useful spares and clever bits n' pieces.

If you're tempted to become one of Robin Hood's 'Merry Men (or
ladies)', then please don't hesitate to get in touch. There are more detailed images available on request.

I am retired so if delivery is a problem, I can probably help.

Thanks for looking and keep the wheels turning

ps I have just done a 4 day, 800+ miles road-trip to visit old (and new) friends. The car has performed impeccably and totally reliably... you could drive it to the south of France tomorrow!
