This listing is for a 1930's women's skirt and matching jacket. This outfit is one of many items that were in a trunk belonging to my family. I have had the trunk for over 30 years and now I need to find a new home for these items. I will do my best to represent the items accurately.
This is a very nice 2 Piece outfit. I am not sure what type of material this is. It has a soft cool feeling and drapes nicely. There is a very slight texture to the fabric. There are no labels, so it is maybe handmade. If it is handmade, the craftsmanship is excellent.
I believe this outfit belonged to my Aunt, who was born in 1908. She was a very tiny petite woman.
The skirt is slightly flared with a button placket side closure.
The waist measures about 25 inches.
The length is about 25 inches.
The jacket has short sleeves and is open in the front.
There is a 1.5 inch fitted band at the waist that crosses and buttons with 2 large white buttons. There are 7 more inches below the waist, that are accented with pockets.
The jacket length is 22 inches.
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 14 inches.
This is a very stylish looking outfit.
