This is one of several batches of CDs listed by the seller at this time.  This particular batch includes several CDs each by some well known and perhaps undeservedly less know tenor plays: Dexter Gordon, Johnny Griffin, and Hank Mobley. Mobley's Blue Note CDs, as a group, are under-recognized for the quality of the music (and they have great covers).  In particular, Soul Station with Wynton Kelly, Art Blakey, and Paul Chambers is one of the best Blue Notes of the 60s.  Also included are albums by several pianists in solo, trio, and group setting: Tommy Flanagan, Wynton Kelly. Kenny Drew, Hampton Hawes, Walter Norris, Jessica Williams, and Steve Kuhn.  There are nine solo piano CDs from the Live at Maybeck series.  I also included several CDs by Hank Jones because I think he is seriously underrated.  A few other less-familer highlights: Johnny Griffin's Blues for Harvey from his Europe years; the solo pianos CD by Jessica Williams, Walter Norris, and Steve Kuhn, and the Ruby Braff/Dick Hyman albums of show tunes (trust me, they are good!).  You also get two CDs of Thelonious Monk covers, one by Water Davis, Jr, and the better known one by Tommy Flanagan. And two CDs of Thad Jones cover, one by Tommy Flanagan, and the other by Thad's brothers, Hank Jones and Elvin Jones.  I save for last one of my personal favorites: Ellis Larkins' Maybeck Recital.  This is a diverse collection, and perhaps no single listener will appreciate all of the music equally.  But the listener may also encounter previously unfamiliar CDs that become new favorites.
