Collins double bit axe head 3lb USA vintage

Good condition, this axe does not have any user damage, no hammering, etc. The bit edges need sharpening but have not real damage and appears to have the original factory edge. No pitting but there is some light surface rust on the blades where paint wore off in it's past. We suspect this is homestead brand with it's blue paint, however in the past previous owner appears to have painted the axe black. The maker stamping is not perfect it looks like part of it may been marred at the factory given it appears to still have original blue paint, see close up picture of the stamping. Might make a good addition to the collection with this less common 3lb size version.

Exact weight of this axe head is 2lbs 14.4oz, eye width is ~2-7/8", overall axe head length is ~9-1/2", bit width is ~4-1/2".
