Thank you for taking time to have a look at my shells. All my listings are from my own collection, which I built over many years by collecting, trading and buying. It's now time for my shells to find new homes.

This auction is for a specimen of Turbo sarmaticus, with operculum, 74mm diameter, that has been partially polished with acid to reveal the underlying mother-of-pearl. No collection data, but it's a remarkably beautiful object.

All of the collection data I have for you is found here in the listing, copied from my three-ring binder of typewritten records (1970's technology). I never created individual "data slips" for each shell. However, if you have any specific questions about my shells, please let me know.

This lot will ship to the winning bidder at any U.S. address via Priority Mail for $9.00, which includes insurance.  I will always combine wins from multiple auctions and send you an invoice with consolidated shipping. (A lot of carefully-wrapped shells can fit into a single box for $9.)  I try to invoice all my buyers with consolidated shipping charges on the same day the bidding closes, and to ship the day after I receive payment.

This $9.00 rate for Priority Mail shipping above applies for U.S. buyers - see notes below regarding international shipping.

International buyers: My shipping charges above are shown for buyers in the United States only. There are separate USPS First Class International Package charges listed under the "Shipping and Payments" tab; any additional charges for customs and duties are the responsibility of the buyer. Please see the Shipping and Payments tab for more information and to estimate your shipping charges before you bid.  For purposes of estimating international shipping costs, the listing assumes a half kilo, 15x23x30 cm box. That's a really big box; depending on the shell(s) you win, your actual shipping charges on the invoice may be greater or lesser than the estimate.  For example, a smaller box with one or two shells usually ships to Europe for about $15 USD.
