Keith Coleborn 1909-2005 - Post Impressionist painting - Figures in landscape

Painter, printmaker, stained and engraved glass-maker and teacher, born in Ports-mouth, Hampshire. Was married to two artists: Freda Coleborn, then Deanne Coleborn. Studied at Royal College of Art, his teachers including Edward Bawden, Eric Ravilious and Reco Capey. Held a number of teaching posts from 1935 at Sturbridge and Wallasey, finally being principal of Bromley/Ravensbourne College of Art,

1946-75. Was involved in work for university-level recognition of art training. Showed widely, including RA, and internationally. Lived in Downe, Kent.
