According to Warner Bros. Studios, the Batmobile from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice draws inspiration from both the sleek, streamlined design of classic Batmobiles and the high-suspension, military build of the Tumbler from The Dark Knight Trilogy. It also incorporates elements from the 1989 Batmobile. Designed by production designer Patrick Tatopoulos and Dennis McCarthy, this Batmobile measures approximately 20 feet long and 12 feet wide (6.1 m by 3.7 m).
Distinct from previous versions, it features a gatling gun mounted on the front and shaved-down tractor tires on the back. The Batmobile can elevate for battle scenes and jumps, and lower to the ground for regular street cruising. This version of the Batmobile also appears in a flashback in Suicide Squad.
