Here is an Elgin pocket watch model 616. I believe the size is 16. On the movement, it says "Elgin 616 USA". It is stem set, 17 jewels, 6 adjustments. The serial number is P831228, which I think places the date of manufacture in 1952. The dial is a "Montgomery dial", missing the second hand, and I see a few scuffs on the crystal. The movement looks good, and the watch is currently running. (But I assume it is time for a visit to a qualified watch guy). Inside the back cover, it says "Star Watch Case Co. 10k Rolled Gold Plate".
