This original oil pastel portrait of a man is an expressionist portrait painting original artwork signed on board depicting a soldier going back into battle. Loosely based upon an old masters painting, this expressionist oil pastel portrait highlights the emotion of the subject as well as bold expressive oil pastel colours. This is the only oil pastel painting that I completed on wooden board, making it a truly unique item. All my oil pastel paintings have been protected with a layer of fixative but oil pastel can still smudge so I would recommend handling the surface with care while preparing to hang.
This oil pastel painting is new, in that it is an original unsold work of art, but being an original painting there is obviously no original packaging etc. All my paintings are original works, are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.
