Note: I am pricing these very low because the tubes have white flakes floating inside. My understanding is that those are from the cathode coating that has flaked off over time; likely because the tube was overheated. It can also happen from age. There are mixed opinions on if that is safe to use or not. I posted detailed pictures. Do not use these tubes unless you understand the risks. They may work great and last or they may burn out or develop a short.

These vintage RCA 5U4G tubes test:

52-48/40 (Admiral)

54-48/40 (Cunningham)

on my TV-7D tester (calibrated 1/27/24). Brand new tubes should test 62-62/40 or higher. Tested for shorts, emission, and noise.

They are closely matched and both made by RCA. One is branded Admiral (1958) and has a broken guide pin. The other is branded Cunningham and dated 1959. They have black plates and D getters.

I do not accept returns unless the items are not as described. Please look at the pictures and ask me any questions BEFORE buying anything.

I’m in the process of listing thousands of tubes. If you want something in particular message me to see if I have it. Thanks!
