Vintage German "Hans" boy is 14" tall and has a beautifully painted expressive face with blond curly hair. He is wearing a traditional "Bavarian Trachtenanzug" of embroidered Lederhosen-type shorts with horn buttons, vest with buttons and "Sepperl Hut" hat with feather as well as socks and little "leather" shoes. The main garments are made of felt.
Adorable Hans appears to have been manufactured by the famous Schildkröt Company and would make a fabulous addition to any collection. And doesn't he look just like his real live counterpart in photo #5?
The Schildkröt Company was founded in 1873 in Mannheim, Germany. In 1896, they started manufacturing the first celluloid dolls and the tortoise has been their trade-mark ever since. Schildkröt is the oldest continuously producing doll manufacturer in Germany.

A wonderful and cherished gift for that special someone!
