WONDERFUL ARTS & CRAFTS ANTIQUE INLAID OAK STRIKING MANTEL CLOCK BY P.HAAS c1910

Please make use of the enlarge feature on the photos to fully enjoy all this stylish arts & crafts clock has to offer your home or collection.

With its wonderful solid oak domed top, its elegant waisted body with beautiful inlaid decoration, raised on the moulded base, all sat on four brass "squashed bun" feet, this is a very pretty clock that has a glorious colour and grain to the wood. So of its period.
Made by Philippe Haas & Sohne of Germany, it was retailed by high-end jewellers Inglis & Son of York around 1910. It stands 12 inches high, 9 1/2 inches wide and just 5 inches deep

The large silvered and engraved dial sits behind its bevelled and convex glass and brass bezel. Strong blued steel hands complete a handsome face. Inside the clock beats the fully marked 8 day, pendulum movement made by P.Haas (leaping hare logo), their initials can also be seen on the gong stand. The clock strikes the half and full hours on a single, mellow coiled gong, the tone is lovely. It is in full working order, complete with original pendulum and a key.

A handsome, elegant and period clock by a renowned German maker.
