A Windfall

The Authors’ Publishng Company, New York, 1880. This rare antique book is bound in a green cloth cover with black embossing and titling on the cover and gold gilt on the spine. There is shelf, edge, spine and corner wear with light fraying to the corners and some light waving to the back cover cloth. Maroon endpapers surround the inside pages, which have heavy to medium foxing throughout and spotting on outside page edges. The pages are nicely intact for a book of this age, with some separating towards the center and with what appears to be the original string binding. No ripped or torn pages. Overall, a lovely antique book.
