This is a two map set which shows where many of the residents lived in the Village of Whitestone, Queens County, New York in 1873. These maps were reproduced on fine natural color parchment and are 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

The pictures provided only show portions of the actual maps! Please contact me with any questions!

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Whitestone Village. The first map shows the entire northern area of Whitestone from the Long Island Sound to 15th Street. The second map shows the southern section which ranges to Flushing. Please check out the 4 pictures shown! Do to the area that this map covers, the heavily populated sections don't show surnames.

Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Coleman, Higgins, Morrison, Waterbury, Lewis, Honwell, Tatham, Talmage, Logan, Powell, Smith, Locke and many more. Many of the sections of Whitestone were planned areas at the time and show numbered lots for future development.  Also indicated on the maps are schools,  streets, railroads and rivers/streams.

This fine matching set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
