This is a 2 map set which shows where many of the homeowners resided in Cranston and Pawtuxet, Rhode Island in 1870. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

                       Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Cranston and Pawtuxet. Due to large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners are quite small. The first map shows the entire Township of Cranston. The second map contains 2 inset maps of Pawtuxet and Knightsville. There are also small business directories for Pawtuxet and Cranston shown. Truly a great matching set. It's hard to make out the specifics from my pictures however it's clearly detailed on the actual maps! 

                      Some of the surnames which are printed are Mason, Knight, Briggs, Hall, Slocum, Butler, Arnold, Sprague, Waldran, Waterman, Chambers, Hopkins and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.

It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
