This is a map which shows where everyone lived in Roslyn & Great Neck and in The Township of North Hempstead, Long Island, New York from 1873. Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment, This map is 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

                       Contained on the map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of North Hempstead and there are also 2 inset maps of the villages of Roslyn and Great Neck. Some of the towns/villages contained on the North Hempstead map are-- Strathmore, Old Westbury, Roslyn Heights, Port Washington, Manorhaven, Flower Hill, Plandome, Manhasset Gardens, East Hills, Albertson, Kings Point, North Hills and others.  Due to the vast area covered, many of the surnames are indeed small. 

                         Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Smith, Hicks, Strong, Cowell, Bogart, Eastman, Taber, Baker, Bender, Willets and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, churches, cemeteries, businesses, railroads and rivers/streams.
