A very fine French violin bow made by Joseph Alfred Lamy Pere ca. 1890, certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris. Lamy Pere was a great bow maker, pupil of F.N. Voirin and a teacher of E. Sartory. His bows are often chosen by fine professional musicians including some famous soloists.
This is very fine example of the maker's in immaculate state of preservation, suitable in our opinion for a leader of an orchestra or a solo performer.
The stick is superb pernambuco, octagonal, strong and flexible with a nice balance, producing the sound of a remarkable character, elegance and caring power. The length of the stick is 73.1 cm and the weight is 58.5 g.
Please read complete description in the certificate and bid with confidence; we have sold certified French bows to numerous satisfied collectors, dealers, players and soloists from worldwide. Cashiers check, bank wire transfer will be accepted within 5 days after auction completed.
