Extremely Rare Renaissance Baroque Bronze Bishop Chess Board Game Piece ! Approximate height 8.6 cm (3  3/8 inches). The diameter of the base is approximately 2.7 cm (1  1/16 inches).  The Bishop chess piece is in fair condition with good patina, considering its age and the fact that it is a game piece, as can be seen in the images. The sixth photo is a gilt bronze pawn chess piece from 1620 Rome for comparison. An image of a bishop image of Saint Aries printed circa 1600 has a similar Miter design which is similar to that of our Bishop chess piece here.
