A Moritz Gottschalk (Marienberg, Saxony & KienelThuringia) c1935 Modellkampfeld (Model Battle Field Set Nr. 388/20) for use with the Elastolin range of composite figures.
The set is large and is comprised of an assortment of five bunkers, including two twin machine gun versions, a blink station/radio bunker, two single machine gun versions & seven trench angles and sections with & without wire.
The set also comes complete with thirteen French Infantry units depicted in various assault poses.
Also included are German minenwerfer (mortar) crew with two composite versions of the crewman, two artillery crewmen & four German Infantry units depicted in various combat poses.
Each figure base is marked "LINEOL Germany" or "ELASTOLIN Germany".
The field works are constructed from wood & cardboard covered with sculpted composite material, is painted in a green/brown/yellow scheme and is modelled on examples from WW1.

Some minor age wear otherwise in an overall good condition. A very rare and unique example.
