Easy to disassemble the unit -
1. Undo the clip, Press the clip in the vertical slot located 35mm from the back of the right hand side (and some units Both sides), At the same time slide the top metal cover backwards from the plastic base.
2. Turn the drive over and remove the two screws from the inserts in the plastic base that hold the CD drive in place.
3. Remove the CD drive by lifting out of the plastic base by lifting the side where the screws were removed away from the base.
4. The IDE interface will simply pull away form the rear of the unit.
