Up the Hill to Townstal - The Growth of Townstal and Higher Dartmouth from 1851 to 2003, by Eric Preston

Published by the Dartmouth History Research Group in 2005, 40 pages. A5 size Booklet (N4799X1)

From the introduction: In the 19th century Townstal was still a very small village, with a population in 1861 of around 150 above Ford Cross, and another 60 in the village of Norton. Now at the beginning of the 21st century there are over 2,000 people in Townstal, and the village is part of the town of Dartmouth....

This booklet traces the history and growth of the village, with particular emphasis on how the village spread and grew outwards with new roads, streets, houses and buildings.

The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs but is clean and bright, the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, tidy, unblemished and tightly bound.

When we post our books, we take great care in packaging them - first your book will be wrapped in bubblewrap, which protects the book and even keeps out any rain (in the event that it's raining when the postie delivers it!). Then we wrap your book in stiff cardboard, taking care to make sure all the corners are protected, and finally the package is wrapped in thick brown paper.
